I am at a 100% loss for words. And while sending thoughts and prayers is one way to raise consciousness and show support for those slain and their families, it’s time to jackhammer racial oppression and violence. It’s been time…

With hope that these tragedies propel you into action rather than paralyze you, I share these resources with the goal of dismantling racial oppression in all its forms.
- Understand the legislation put forward to end police brutality.
- Get the facts about police brutality.
- Get uncomfortable, white allies.
- Educate yourself, white allies.
- Put your bodies in the streets, white allies.
- Teach your white sons to use their privilege as a tool for good, white allies.
- Raise money for victims’ families.
- Trust Black Women and support reproductive justice + racial justice.
- Take care of yourself. Self-care is radical.
And this. #BlackLivesMatter
How many times have I written a letter or email to the Justice Department about racism to be ignored and told the government will do nothing? But Justice will still sit on its ass and still collect those big fat paychecks. I am glad your article addresses what whites as Blacks need to do. Employment and Housing discrimination also runs wild in this country and to me it is the same mentality and intractable institutionalized pattern and practice that fuels police brutality. Unfortunately for whites, and us all, when you see government employees killing their own, America is imploding from within. Blacks from this point on need to travel in numbers. A sense of urgency. Wherever one Black goes, we all go. Let America get used to the fact Blacks will be seen in numbers and now protect their own. “Take somebody with you.” We must protect the lives of our Black brothers. The killings must stop now.The culture must change now.
Good advice for us all.
